"Following a traumatic surgery to my left eye, I was referred by my consultant to Mr Kanti, who is recognized as a leading specialist in his field. Operating from his London clinic, he was the voice of absolute reassurance that I could still maintain a fantastic quality of life. Having traveled all the way from the Caribbean, I deeply appreciated how he took the time to understand my unique location and occupation. The bespoke ocular prosthesis he provided was exceptionally well matched to my physical features and highly affordable, giving me the confidence to fully move on with my life. Thank you!"
"Years ago, I had a retinoblastoma tumor removed, and the team at Eye Excellence has been doing wonders for my lifestyle ever since. I recently updated my bespoke lenses, and the results are incredible. They are ultra-lightweight and comfortable to wear, allowing natural tears to flow freely around the prosthesis. Because the device sits perfectly, the artificial eye moves freely, matching my natural tracking. The appearance, the color balance, and the anatomical shape are absolutely superb. Finding this level of specialist care in the UK has been a true blessing."
"As a patient requiring a complex fitting, I was amazed to be fitted with their new, improved (MAX) lens. The bespoke lens created for me is a testament to perfect craftsmanship - the lens design drastically reduced downward weight on my eyelid, completely changing my daily comfort and shape. Super happy"
"I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible, life-changing work completed for my sister. The bespoke eye prosthesis created by the clinical team is truly exceptional. It restores complete natural facial symmetry and, most importantly, provides pain-free daily wear. We are deeply impressed by the technical precision, artistic craftsmanship, and genuine care shown throughout the entire fitting process. This expertise has made a profound difference in my sister’s everyday life and has fully restored her self-confidence."
"I recently experienced exceptional, life-changing care at this clinic, traveling all the way from Zimbabwe to access their specialized prosthetic laboratory. The team went entirely above and beyond to guide me through the treatment process, erasing all my anxieties about getting an artificial eye. The clinical precision completely gave me my life back. To make things even better, the clinic provides comprehensive adjustments and professional polishing packages, ensuring long-term satisfaction. My wife and I are thrilled with the lifelike results, and we highly recommend their services to any international traveler."
"After a severe injury left my eye non-seeing and heavily discolored, I felt incredibly self-conscious in social settings. Dr. Kanto designed a bespoke cosmetic scleral shell that fits perfectly over my eye like a large contact lens. The hand-painted detailing matches my healthy eye completely, down to the tiniest blood vessels. It is incredibly smooth, causes zero tissue irritation, and moves naturally when I look around. It has completely eliminated the need for me to wear tinted glasses to hide my eye."
"We brought our teenage son to Eye Excellence because his short-sightedness was worsening rapidly every single year. The specialized medical myopia control program has been a game-changer. They fitted him with bespoke overnight contact lenses (Orthokeratology) that gently reshape the cornea while he sleeps. Not only does he now have crystal-clear vision during the day without glasses, but his regular check-ups confirm that his rapid myopia progression has significantly slowed down. It is an invaluable investment in his long-term ocular health."
"Living with advanced Keratoconus meant that standard glasses and soft contact lenses could never correct my distorted vision. The team utilized high-resolution corneal topography to map my eye surfaces and fitted me with specialist rigid scleral contact lenses. These lenses vault cleanly over my irregular corneas, creating a soothing fluid reservoir. For the first time in over a decade, my vision is sharp, stable, and completely free of ghosting images. The physical comfort is outstanding, allowing me to work long hours at my computer."
"The period following my enucleation surgery was incredibly overwhelming, but the post-operative management here made all the difference. They carefully monitored my socket healing, managed tissue contraction, and perfectly timed the fitting of my bespoke ocular prosthesis. The micro-tailored, flush fit eliminated the chronic eye discharge and fluid collection I was terrified of experiencing. They transformed a difficult medical recovery into a smooth, comfortable, and deeply reassuring experience."
Everything you need to know about ocular prosthetics, specialist contact lenses and your care at Eye Excellence London.
An ocular prosthesis (an artificial eye) replaces a missing natural eye. It is usually needed after surgery such as enucleation or evisceration. It can sit over an orbital implant if one has been fitted.
A cosmetic shell is a thin cover worn over a damaged or discoloured natural eye, covering the full surface of the existing eye without replacing it.
At your first appointment, Mr Fatania will take all the measurements he needs. Your prosthesis then goes through several stages to get the best possible fit. This process normally takes 15 to 20 working days.
Once it is ready, we will contact you to arrange your fitting. Any fine adjustments will be made during that appointment.
This depends on age and changes to the eye socket.
A well-fitted prosthesis should feel light, comfortable, and natural after a short adjustment period. It should allow normal tear production and look shiny like a real eye.
A poor fit can cause discomfort, discharge, or irritation and may harm the surrounding tissues.
We recommend polishing every 12 to 18 months.
If your ocular prosthesis becomes uncomfortable or you notice extra discharge, it may need cleaning sooner. Please contact us if this happens.

We can refer you to the National Health Service or private specialists if needed. We work closely with experienced ophthalmologists and ocular surgeons across the UK, with strong relationships with doctors in Harley Street.

We can support you by email or video call. If you need polishing, we will try to help you find a local partner.
If your ocular prosthesis needs adjustments, you may send it to us by post, but please note we are not responsible for loss or damage during shipping.
If unsure, please ask us.
We recommend a review every two years to check your comfort and ensure the surface remains smooth and healthy.
The ocular prosthesis itself does not change, but your eye socket and soft tissues will. You may need adjustments in future to maintain comfort and appearance.
We keep your records securely, but we may still need to see you again to reassess your fit. Each prosthesis is handmade and must go through the full manufacturing process again.
The ocular prosthesis restores appearance but cannot correct issues such as ptosis (drooping eyelid) or exophthalmos (protrusion).
If you need further treatment, we can refer you to an appropriate ocular plastic surgeon.
